Ryan Dow, Founder & Consultant​

Ryan brings over two decades of diverse experience in the security industry, with a career spanning frontline guard duties, client service management, and sales. For the past 15 years, he has served as Assistant Director of the Campus Safety, Special Constable Service at the University of Toronto, where he plays a key role in shaping safety strategies for Canada’s leading educational institution.
 

In this role, Ryan acts as the primary security and safety advisor to senior university leadership, particularly for high-risk, controversial, and VIP events. His expertise encompasses investigations, crime prevention, large-scale event security, and the university’s security guard program. His outstanding contributions have been recognized with two prestigious awards: the Outstanding Employee Award for University Operations (2018) and the Simcoe Hall Vice-Presidential Staff Award (2023).
 

Beyond the university, Ryan has been a dedicated member of the Ontario Association of College and University Security Administrators (OACUSA). From 2021 to 2024, he served as Treasurer, and currently sits on the Board of Directors as Director of Marketing, continuing to support OACUSA’s mission as the trusted voice of public safety in Ontario’s post-secondary sector.

Ryan is a long standing member of IACLEA (International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators & ASIS International.
